The two art classrooms will be centrally located on the first floor. These large classrooms will overlook and have access to the interior courtyard. Display cases will prominetly showcase student work for everyone to see.

Each team will have a specially design classroom dedicated to Science instruction. The Science labs have a larger footprint (1000 sq.ft.)
along with a Science prep/storage room. These 21st century classrooms
will have ample storage space, sinks, and flexible seating to support ALL students.

The media center will be the school's learning hub, and will offer flexible and technology-rich learning opportunities for ALL students.

Grade levels in the new Middle School will be located on their individual floors, or “neighborhoods”. Each “neighborhood” will include classrooms, science labs, small group instruction spaces, restrooms, and common learning spaces (pictured above).

The new middle school will feature larger classroom spaces of approximately 850 square feet. These spaces will be more conducive to collaboration, flexibility, and project-based learning that is tied to 21st century learning needs.

The new Middle School plan includes the opportunity to receive up to an additional 20% state reimbursement bonus, which potentially reduces the overall cost from $167 million to approximately $75 million. This opportunity will expire in June 2024.

The new Middle School building will feature a brand new cafeteria, capable of preparing all meals on site. The size of the cafeteria will allow each grade level to have their own lunch period.

The new middle school will feature state-of-the-art energy efficiency, which will bring greatly improved air quality for teachers and students, as well as energy cost savings for taxpayers.
