North Kingstown High School is very excited to welcome our Freshmen this upcoming school year! The first day of school will be Freshmen Orientation Day at NKHS. It is a nice day for the students to become acquainted with the building, routines, and procedures without other classes in the building. Leadership students, faculty, and staff will focus the day on making the freshmen feel welcome by easing their transition into the high school community.
Non freshmen that are new to NKHS are invited as well that day. Please look for an invitation sent to you from our guidance director Ms Toro.

Freshman Orientation: Friday, September 3, 2021
Regular School Day Hours: 7:15am - 1:45pm
Transportation: Follow your regular bus schedule. Bus information will be available on Aspen starting Tuesday 8/31/21 . You may contact transportation with any further questions. Click HERE for transportation information.
Upon student arrival into the building, Leadership students will welcome and guide 9th graders into the spine where they will meet their Leadership guide who will escort them to their advisory room. Advisory teachers will distribute schedules in their advisory.
Schedule for the day includes, but is not limited to;
Dissemination of student schedules and advisory locations
Student led tour of the building
Follow your schedule to meet and greet with your teachers
School pictures
Chromebooks will be distributed for students new to the district
Freshmen Assembly
Lunch
Locker assignments
