Resources from Guidance

THE NKHS guidance department hosts a variety of evening presentations in regards to Post High School Planning.

In late September, there is a senior parent night for all students who plan on attending a two or four year college after high school. In late fall, a financial aid officer presents information to all parents/students who are interesting in learning about merit aid, financial aid, filing the FAFSA and/or the CSS profile and the difference between grants and loans. In late March, NKHS hosts a College and Career Night in which college representatives, military representatives, local employers, a financial aid officer, a NCAA representative  and community members all present to assist all students in helping them navigate their options upon graduation.

Throughout the fall (during the school day),  the guidance department hosts college admission representatives that come  to NKHS to speak to prospective students. Periodically, military representatives are present during lunch periods to speak to students about the armed services.
