When should I keep my student home from school?

When your child has any of the following: fever over 100F within the past 24 hours (without the use of anti-fever medicine), constant coughing, persistent vomiting, constant runny nose not related to allergies.

 

Can my child bring medication to school?

High school students are allowed to bring one day's supply of OTC (over the counter) medication if it is in the original container.  Controlled substances must be brought to school by parents and given by the nurse.  Other prescriptions should be checked with the nurse.

 

Can my child drive home if they are ill?

Your child may be allowed to drive home at the discretion of the school nurse based on their symptoms.  Your child's safety is our first priority.
